Carolina Fury Newsletter
August 1, 2007
Hey Everyone,
Don't forget about the Carolina Fury Powerhockey Exhibition Game
on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Charles B. Aycock High School.
The game starts at 7:00 and the doors will open at 6:00. Admission
is $5.00 and concessions will be available. Also, we will have
our cake silent auction and I do have a limited number of the
black Carolina Fury t-shirts available for sale. As always, other
merchandise is available on our website.
If you have never been to one of our exhibition games, we play
against volunteers who can walk and we put them in manual chairs.
These games are great practice for us, but it also gives our opponents
a taste of the challenges we face every day. The games are truly
a rewarding experience for everyone.
We will be playing against members from the front office staff
of the Carolina Hurricanes. This is a huge game for us because
it will probably be the toughest challenge that we have faced.
These people know hockey, so we won't be able to capitalize off
their mistakes.
We will definitely need your support, so we can play our best.
The attendance record for our games is 200 spectators (January
2006) and I would like to break that on the 11th. We play better
in front of large crowds and it would be even better if you can
arrive early, so the team can go ahead and get excited about having
a big crowd. We're always nervous about whether or not people
will show up. I have always bragged about our fans to the Canes,
so we really need a big crowd at this game. You guys have to make
us look good!
